Scribbled on the Sand

One feather sweep annunciates your name
As if caressed by the very thought
In script against a wetted laugh
I leave love in your honor

Might I, a trailing cloud of smoke
Emulate the sweetness of time
Holy in its warmth and awareness
I leave love

Assured that every word is drunken
Tasted by the lake, inhaled for my sake
Against your back and softly stirring
Scribbled on the sand
I leave love

ephemeral as
the wash of the wave
temporary as
the shift of the sand
we write as if
in disappearing ink

And I perceive this love through the beauty and intensity of your words, dear TD!

Moments of tender communication.

Love,

Thought writ in sand are engraved on each grain.

I am hugely fond of the image of

Love ... scribbled in sand
against a backdrop of the
sweetness of time.

This is so beautiful... I especially love the repetition of I leave love. *S*

Very powerful....reminded me of a period of time I spent in southern california near the beach .... leaving love behind in the scribbles in the sand....glad I finally found the words written to describe it .... good work!!!!
