Lord, lend me the ability to write.
Release me from these tight binds.
The words, the words, unwritten the words
find no way out.
They now rise to a suffocating height.

Help me first, to comprehend
why they were stopped.
I always understood they were Given.
Was credit taken, where no credit was due?
Truly I thought not.

This deadness needs awakening,
this lack of emotion freed from its burial place.
Straighten my thoughts for they are surely twisted.
Point them in the upward direction.
Fashion me Lord, not as I have become, but instead,
as I ought to be.

Haha! Believe me I have been tempted to write this prayer, but in my case I found that nothing helped. Nothing. They say to just keep writing no matter how bad it is. They say take a break. Do something you have never done. Skip-to-My-Lou, My Darlin'. Nuttin' worked. Only time and worry will fix the problem and I see you are worrying, so give it some time.

~~ How come abbreviated is such a long word? ~~

...and

she writes...

sometimes our pleadings make the
best poems, my friend.

It is good what you realize
in this poem...

but to me, you've always been grateful
for the release...

it will come.

In huge ways.

Luminosity, I think your GPS is giving you the wrong information and your (poet's!) imagination is working overtime, coz you sure ain't lost!  Read your poem, and you will see that you don't have the writer's block you think you have, and that your direction is absolutely perfect!  Trust your readers!

A truly humble prayer.
Enjoyed.

This deadness needs awakening,
this lack of emotion freed from its burial place.

From chrysalis comes forth beauty that  lifts the spirits of all who see... so, too, shall your words rise... Not to suffocate, but to soar.

You may not see the cracks announcing freedom from silence, dear friend... but we do. *S*

I have not cried in a long time, by deisgn of course, and so, I barely read your replies, and exited quick before the moisture in my eyes gathered strength...
I am back to say thank you my friends...your encouragement means much to me

Touching plea. I am sure you have been heard. And the words are ready to be plucked from your inner garden.

If ever I find that the words were too many, too few, too far, or too near come out right - then I think that maybe silence was what I needed to say most...

But this is just beautiful. The agony of wanting - needing- to create...
