standing on a shadow's lace

Always

across the sky your voice whispers
in soft pink chiffon ripples
you taught me of green that grows
on the end of dark brown sticks
and amber in the warmth
where fire tickles wood
where in you I melt
dripping like an unkempt sink
and I shall forever be
yesterday, tomorrow
and always yes, always

Only you could draw this picture.  I will forever see fire laughing now.

What a delight it is to see you back, Helen - both you AND your poetry!  Thank you for adding to the riches of this blue-paged treasure chest, with this exquisite gem, and I hope, many more to come again.

I could easily have copied the entire poem because every line is beautiful... but these went straight to my heart. Finding hope in the bleak is a wonderful lesson... but I'm betting the teacher reaped the true treasure. *S*

I've missed you, sweet lady!!!

Passion deluxe written in every line of this poem. I particularly liked the last three lines, in my thoughts they are a kind of existentialism, in other words you are who you are and will always be that and nothing else.

~~ How come abbreviated is such a long word? ~~

Iss

About you it might be said
We have been happily led

To words beget of words
As in the singing of birds

Touches so very light
Like dreams in the night

What inspiration we've missed
That feeling of being kissed!
