Ah that it is light the weight of the known things
that of the blue house of the opened branch,
that of the roof which spreads the hands of the sky
of the chair where we rest the back and the behind,

That it is light the beer which we drink
and the glass never filled with warm tears
the sun so distant which annoys nobody
and the religious stone where we know how to talk,

Ah that it is light the weight of things
and that it is heavy the weight of the alive
the demanding tenderness of the abandoned people
and the hearts which sail northward,

Ah that it is heavy the silence of the alive
the flesh and the blood which explain nothing
in the wrecks and the hypocritical partitions,
this weight which jumps from a soul to the other one,

And which crosses beds and dinners of honey
which comes at night to wake sleep of angels
or to give swordthrusts in purpple lilacs
ah that it is heavy the weight of the unknown beings.

I must catch my breath after reading your inspired work, dear Yann. Great themes treated with enormous poetic skill and wisdom.

So much food for thought, between the lightness and the heaviness of being.

Impressive write.

Love,
Margherita

thanks margherita for the luminous and warm comment, I bow to you, the peom was written in french first and i want to give the french version for you and diana :

The French version is almost painfully beautiful, dear Yann.

Great write!
I can relate to this verse, well in memory that is.
