Weak daze march 21/11

It’s Tuesday today for me
But today for me
Might not be today for you
I hope that on your today
You don’t feel like I do
Detached from the world
I feel like a ghost
Invisible to ppl
Forgotten by most
No matter what today brings
Tomorrow’s already on it’s way
I guess the choices you make right now
Have an affect on tomorrows today
Its tough to think good things
When only metal surrounds you
Especially when yesterday’s choice
Are the consequences around you
It’s like a drain
And when I think
My thoughts swirl down
Like in a sink
And all my thoughts
That I just thunk
Go down with
That other junk

I think tomorrows thoughts today
To get a jumpstart when I wake
I must be doing something wrong
Cuz I keep making Mondays mistakes

This is one of the poems i wrote while i was incarcerated.  More to come!

Welcome to Pip, dear Luke!

You have written an impressive poem that reflects your experience and yet the feeling of being forlorn has inspired you to ponder your choices and to consider a different tomorrow. Every day is a new beginning and in this light your Mondays will most certainly transform and bring new confidence in the future.

Enjoyed your first post.

It is nice to see that you also enjoyed reading and commenting on other poets' offerings.

Wishing you well.
Love,
Margherita

Hi Luke,

I so hope that your todays are better now.  Freedom is something none of us should take for granted, and your poem illustrates that vividly.

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on poems in PiP, including mine.  It's going to be nice to get to know you here though the poems that you share and the comments that you write.
