And I’ll Wonder

She is something special
Wish I could put my finger on it
But I doubt it.

She's strength and beauty
And love and pain
And pain and pain.

She's a lover in my mind
Only in my thoughts
Always in my thoughts.

She makes me proud to know her
Though, do I?
Or will I?

Her eyes promise heaven
Show the stories they tell
And don't tell.

But I'll know her from afar
And wonder
While, I wonder.

It is in the eyes, and through them, we men become attached..that suttle stare, the longing in it..that's what keeps a man going...on and on...that stare is what keeps men striding forward.
