To be an angel in your eyes
To lift your spirit when it sighs
To soar with joy then lie replete
To make you feel fulfilled, complete

To be your shelter in the storm
To breathe your scent, to keep you warm
To hold you close through darkest night
To see your face first thing, come light

To share you secrets, know your soul
To dry your tears, your hurts console
To give support when you feel weak
To pay attention when you speak

To face a lifetime, day by day
To be the one you love, I pray
If you will give your heart to me
All this and more I'll strive to be

Ruth...

This is the 50/50 when once people wanted to do 100/100 in the scale of marital bliss. Or any romance....

Trust me. It use to be there, among all of the rocks and ruts in the road.

I miss Paul Harvey's telling of the special days when a couple might have seen 75 years of marriage....and then share a special moment of their lives.

And I'll bet right now that just about anyone 10 years younger than me is saying, "Paul who?"

Keep it up, gal....this is beautiful!

Such a profoundly loving and sensitive offering, dear Ruth. More than a wish list it is your precious gift and its value is priceless. No diamonds could ever affect a heart as much as this LOVE promise does.

Could be read together at the wedding ceremony!

Most beautiful really!

Love,
Margherita

Exquisite, Ruth.  I hope and pray that there is as somebody as wonderful as you, and deserving of you, for you to be all that to.  Margherita's idea of this beautiful poem being read at your wedding is great!

Thank you for these hushed words so special oh *S*....

Michael: Your praise would be music to my ears and greatly appreciated at any time... but the timing of your comment was pure balm. I don't know if I've shut down the thief and restored my words to me, but you've restored and brightened the smile I'd been wearing from the comments. *S* Thank you so very much!!
