My pen has lain flat with still ink for near three weeks now.
Why? Because I’ve claimed to be void of inspiration.
I’ve been lacking motivation to form a compilation of my feelings, thoughts, or observations of the life I live or the world that surrounds me.
How can nothing astound me to the point of compounding my awe into art?
Writing too much based on a human muse might quickly be confused with obsession…
but nothing else lately has left an impression enough to force my heart to spill and my hand to form script.
So should I write about the man of which my heart belongs until something else exciting comes along?
As Bukowski said, “If it doesn’t come bursting out of you in spite of everything, don’t do it.”

But I’m getting sick of waiting!

What a most lovely new picture, dear Amber!

Put your pen on paper and Universe will whisper ... whatever crosses your mind will take form. Listen to your own heart deeply then you will hear. We are not always volcanoes, but we are many other things, even a little silent pond maybe, yet so rich in reflections ...

You did well in giving expression to your frustration.

Love,
Margherita

Don't ever force it...I've tried, and I almost never come up with anything good. The best times is when I'm listening to music and I get inspired to write something. This seems to happen most often. But there are long stretches where I don't write a thing at all, and I'm absent from pip. It happens.

Great post.

This happens to most of us at some stage, Amber.  I particularly like the title.

Hey amber????  I automatically look for you here ...
There is ALWAys material bubbling up from deep within, and often it is stuff most of us both don't want to talk about and yet long to talk about.  I believe that we sensor ourselves when we are taught as children to "shut up."  What are you thinking about right now?  (You can always clean it up later).
Like right now I'm thinking of writing a piece about how ties were invented in Thailand, Grease was invented in Grece, ink was invented by the Incas, thanksgiving was invented in Turkey, (or is it turky) food was invented in Hungary, (because they were hungery in Hungry) Chinese food was invented in China, (well isn't that obvious OBVIOUS) Etc.
I'm not sure when I will "write" that.  The worst thing that can happen is that your post may be removed or someone may complain it is "inappropirate," but I'll never complain and some of my stuff has been removed from time to time.  My carelessness may yet get me kicked out of Pip ...  If you're not sure, send a copy of a piece to Sunshine here and she will tell you if it's acceptible.  Don't ever hesitate to send me anything that is percolating in your mind, even if you're not quite ready to put it on Pip (those most likely people will like it).
Don't EVER hesitate to write of a special man in your heart ... I like to imagine that someone loves me too, what she does and what she says to comfort and strengthn me, an inner dialog that is kept private.
Deep play???
Jaime

I'm not sure I can put the details of my inner life on Pip, At least right now.  But I may right some nonsense about the Inkas invented ink?

It is easier to find than you think. Yes, at times we can't be as profound as we like, but it is there, waiting, waiting, waiting.
