Will we ever meet?
not my place to say
but, maybe someday

When I look for you
A far distance is safe
can't come too near
being safe is my place

Like puppets on a string
Just keep on living
He gives and He takes
keep on believing

Maybe it's all in my mind
probably is why whine
He knows when it's time
to share a hello or goodbye

This poem has a very lovely cadence and there is a somewhat joyful, playful surrendering to fate that emanates from the words.
