.

Off in the distance
An old dock
Just below the horizon

Two couples
Are swimming in the water
Beyond a few ripples
The lake is calm

There are small white
Butterflies for passing clouds
A single boat creates a wake
Beneath an otherwise open sky

The sandy dunes are a tawny brown
Mixed with grasses that wave around
The gray foundations of other lives

Men and women I never knew
And now more and more
That I did before

Nothing’s forever
That much I know
For all your colored hair

"Nothing's forever",
Only what is in our memories,
Thank you for your poem,

Very good! And it brought a smile for the conclusion. No, certain blond isn't indeed for ever!
