Fair to middlin' of nowhere

There was nothing else I could do.
If you were in my place
you'd have done the same
The longing and desire
was just too much
and I knew
it was only a matter of time
So I left him
as he slept
The cat and I went
out the door...
to the porch
and enjoyed the morning
waiting for him to wake up

Love this tip toeing sentiment, and the visuals that come to mind in the morning sunrise.

Good good!

Who said opening lines couldn't be great teasers?

I'll bet the early sun saw the smile, too.

Now lay off the ciggies.

Dear Lori, How enigmatic this one is.  In the opem are you drawn by desire or repelled?
Could you tell us a bit more?
But perhaps it is too painful and personal.
I confess, I am loving coming to know you a bit more with each poem.
I’m hungry and have to go. So sends tender addictive hugs.

Nice work.
