         ponderings

we are slaves to transient
   opinion and self

nature is effortless, and
  selfless beauty
that holds no opinions

ignorance and knowledge
   are deeply interwoven

simply be, look, and listen

all truth is revealed
in form, space, and time
and exists only in the now

reality is constant change

I do believe you are right, Bruce, but then you usually are.

Bruce, I wanted to say that the second stanza was my favourite, but on reading your poem a second and third time, I realised that my favourite part starts at the beginning and ends at the end.

Pondering is one of my most favourite activities and I find it like a burst of forest air into my being, exhilarating and exposing me to a compilation of ideas arranged differently and coming to exciting new (for me) conclusions and explanations.

I am not sure that I agree with your last 2 lines for all matters (though certainly agree with it for many matters), but I understand and love the concept (at least momentarily) and the pondering it brings me.

I love the feeling your poetry so often gives me - that I am floating like a small star in a large universe - or lodged in the chlorophyll of one bush or tree - or in the heart of a bird - or the croak of a frog - or all of these and a multitude more, simultaneously.

"reality is constant change"

Isn't that the truth!

The more we know the greater the humble realization of how little we actually know, no doubt.

You expressed more than one truth (or what you believe to be the truth) in this great philosophical poem.

Much appreciated, dear Bruce.

Love,
Margherita
