Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Guess who had lunch with
plain old me?
Sunshine!
My dear friend Karilea.
I'm so blessed
to have her as
an honorary member
of my family.
It has been too long
since we have

         been together
         laughed so hard
         we cried

We caught up on this and that
and who's doing what
and who's gone where
(trying our best to behave)

She misses our writer's group
She critiqued my poem
(I call it nit picking)
like I knew she would
(she's so good)
And it is much better

I'm a lucky woman
don't think I don't know it
there is nothing in this world
like having a friend
who is a poet

My friend Edna (ebonygirl) and I had lunch today also and I agree, it's great to have a friend who is a poet.

I'm the fortunate one, folks.
She sure puts up a lot with me,
does our Lori.

And she gives me a lot of reasons
to smile, and be thankful for
wonderful friends!

O dear O dear.
Why did it take me so long to figure it out?
So you’re from Kansas too?  I know, you’re going to take over aren’t you.   I just know I just know.  It’s about me isn’t it?  Now don’t lie to me don’t lie to me.  I can tell.  You’re from Kansas too?
What is the world coming to these days?
It has to be about me!  Your taking me away to OZ.  The paranoids! They are chasing me?  Help! HELP!!!
Wishes I could be with you all too.
