In My Moondreams

Shinin' like a lucky new dime
you'll find her each n' every time
under an adoring streetlight
man what a magical sight
she moves just like a breeze
stirrin' up these seven seas
she whispers like a storm
and somehow she keeps you warm
keeps your heart from being torn
by the quick knives of this night
just fast talkin' ramblers
them juke box gamblers
tryin' to find just the right song
to find right in everything that's wrong
darlin' gypsy biker gang girl
well don't get caught in a whirl
a dizzy ballerina twirl
shifting the orbit of this world
just to suit your own petty little schemes
hey baby meet me tonight in my moondreams

Aching like an Achilles' Heel
numbing everything that's real
somewhere in that night
man it's a mean ol' fight
to try to get back to the heart
of things that tore us apart
frigid words and so much worse
I stumble and fumble and curse
and she screams silently
but somehow I can hear perfectly
her smiles are meant for me
yeah so are all her tears
and I count every one
I'll never get it done
hey black leather harley kitten
well just where is it written
that you gotta be knitting
surrender flags flapping
in the bitter breeze just to be redeemed
hey sugar just meet me tonight in my moondreams

Moondreams
soft sunbeams
golden circles and other things
twist in her hair like velveteen
a cherry on top of my world
that redhead leather gypsy girl
sweeter than candy on Halloween
hey darlin' meet me tonight in my moondreams
meet me tonight in my moondreams
meet me somewhere somehow
if only heaven will allow
meet me tonight yeah in my moondreams

For me, this reads very much like a song... is it one? I like it!
