Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Gentle cravings
that take us unaware
They guide our steps
and direct our stare
Forever trying to feed
that subtle and irresistible
insatiable need
for more
Bewitched we seek
to find that fix
that leaves us weak
and makes us tic
Those tender addictions
we can't ignore.

“Forever trying to feed
that subtle and irresistible
insatiable need

Isn’t that the truth?
Excellent write Lori.

Aw wow, this is a tender hearted kind of desire.

Don't know where I was the day you posted this, Lori, but I'm here now. You called the passion play as it is, gentle cravings which build into volcanic explosions.

Now this is good... I can hear the spirit crying "more!"  Indeed, it's those tender addictions that seem to drive us.  Lovely writing.
