Well folks by now you all have heard
the "Christmas Story" tale
But there where things they never told
to which I'll now avail
my faithful readers, for it seems
again one "Balladeer"
would seek to toy with my fine art
as I have posted here.

'Twas he who stuck his tongue to post
of metal , oh so cold.
The firemen did what they could do,
and yanked, or so I'm told
the poor lad's tongue right out his mouth
so he had to resort
to writing what the feeble call
some poetry of sorts

Both, ooch and ow, that's gotta hurt
gol' dang it, darn that smarts.
Or, as we say it down to home
protect them tender parts.
'Cuz one's a'apt t'never know
when wit is gonna strike
And it may well just hit you in
some place you do not like.

Balladeer?

My Balladeer?

You can not mean the same
He crafts with words
the flowing verse
so fitting to his name.
