Fragmented pieces of misconception
An illusion brought down to its knees
My heart's reeling in as bait
Dragging it's bloody matter along muddy waters

A realization of false grandeur makes me sick
I'm not as strong as I'd like to believe
Who am I to become something great?
My salvation is a joke for ministers to giggle at

Revolting creature I see you through
Don't look back at me with those love sick sadden eyes
I have little pity for the damned
yet you pluck at my heart strings

Your tearing my aging flesh apart
It kills me to see you so distraught
Can't help but blame yourself for this
You knew what consequences laid at the horizon

Foolish being your ego won't save you here
We're at the pit of annihilation
The guilt must be wrenching to know your the traitor
Guess this isn't anything new. How pitiful you are.

Wow, Zach. You have come a long way as a poet.  Your font is a bit small, but the peering was worth it.  You write interesting poetry ~ and, your visuals are fantastic.

Good to see you here again.

Alison, It's nice to be back and hear from old friends. Ah, the font is purposely small. Hard to read, I know, but I have a weird habit of not trying to take up too much space with my words. Really, this poem is just my depressive emotional vomit, but most good things aren't things that have been pondered too heavily. Thank you for the kind words.

Everyone else who commented, thank you for your kind words. I really do appreciate it.

I think it is great that you use font to express your poetry the way that you do.
