Fair to middlin' of nowhere

When they laid her heart open there
they found amongst the ruins
in the rubble of her despair
shards of hope and light
imbedded where
love had struck her
scarring her for life

most of us likely bear said 'scars' ...

but, the worst of all are those that come
when 'love' is no longer even a possibility!

fine 'penning' !!
