Death is such a lonely place
In man's distorted mind
A place that's void of place
Within a time that's void of time

A journey made in solitude
That begs no company
But promises a promise
At the promised destiny

Death is like a wingless bird
That plunges from the bough
Thinking it will likely land
Quite solidly somehow
Elizabeth Santos
(written in jest, of course)

Maybe written in jest, Elizabeth, but there is much truth within the lines of this very readable bit of poetry.m Thank for giving me something to dwell upon this morning, even it is Mr. Death.

You led me, line by line... pondering that final journey... and then... splat! *G* I can just picture that being my ending! LOL

Only you could make me smile at thoughts of death. *S*

Though this may have been written in jest I think it descibes death very well.

Naturally anything with this name will attrack my attention,

Liz...I think you did a fine job with this fine poem.  Love the repetition of words, and you, of course.

You did a fine job for it to just be a jest.  I sure missed your words while I was gone... it's good to read you again.

I love your writing whether you write in jest or not.  I read.  That's why I am here.
