Remember my name, or else discard the warmth.

I can't handle the noose around my throat.

But at least the cradle can rock me to sleep,

lulling me back and forth in the gentle void.



Arisen from the dirt, each man becomes ash.

My brother, will you remember this life I have led?

It is a tearful expression away from slumber,

because the sun only shines on smiling faces.

It does seem that way, doesn't it? We all want to be remembered and most of us will be... even if not in the way we'd wish. I enjoyed this!

Wow, this is intensely dark.  Though, coming from one who might rather be forgotten, I don't really grasp the concept of wanting to be being remembered, I certainly feel your emotion in this... which is a good thing.
