Blue ripple pond by Madeleine Arnett
*

Dreams in cosmic space

*

At night I open my windows
to let the draught veils wrap me
in their silver shimmers
while your mind eyes wash off
the colours to make them transparent
and keep them floating freely
in a hide and seek dance
where your glances become
burning dots upon my lunar skin.

My parted lips kiss the breeze
and exhale whispers of invitation
to breathe love’s secret fumes
which moisten the night hours
till dawn trickles the melody
of Benny Goodman’s Blue skies,
your key of interpretation,
and a link to a past comet passage
you might have missed then
but which will echo throughout
our common pyrotechnic future.

Watch out when the Pleiades twinkle
signalling star ship routes to Home
for us to consider when down here
becomes small and we need to fly high
on trails of light steering into the Absolute.
I anchor my vision in midst of the pond
of our merging session memories,
so you will never miss the target,
as long as you center the ripples
formed by either the sun or star reflections.

How sweet are the extended arms of life
when my brain leaks dreams in cosmic space!

I doubt this was written in one sitting. Exquisite poetry. Line for line fills the reader with a kaleidoscope of wondrous sights and visions amid the strains of Big Band soothing calm. A self-satisfying poem written by a talented hand.

It takes a fine mind to pen a poem such as this. May your pen never run dry my friend. Your poems bring me such pleasure.

Dear Alison, thank you for your loving comment and for merging with me in this cosmic space where we perceive All There is. Have a great week!

Dear Jerry, what a gratifying comment, thank you so much! The last line of the poem is what was dancing in my mind for a couple of days and then I sat down and wrote the rest, or let's say the beginning! While I was writing Benny Goodman's Blue skies was transmitted at the radio and I felt it made a great addition to my thoughts, so it slipped quite naturally in between the lines!

Thank you so much, dear Michael, for reading and for enjoying this.

Dear Marcia, you say such nice things, thank you from my heart. That's a hope I share with you and all the Poets "may our pens never run dry!". Wishing you a fulfilling creative week.

Love to all,
Margherita
