       I am lost

I am lost
to painting wishes
on the clouds;
weaving dreams
from the deep velvet
  twilight;
spinning words
against the thunder
of your silence ...
for I know not
how to win your heart
and my life hangs
upon every smile.

I liked this. Simple. Direct. Nothing hidden or made into a riddle. Just a poets thoughts well said.

Simple, romantic elegance at it's best, Bruce.

I think you may well win any heart with such refined poetry, dear Bruce.

This is delightful.

I would say that you are "beautifully lost" in your dreams of love.

Try to smile back!

Love,
Margherita

Romanticism at it best, beautiful poem.

Ah, been there my friend.  Not a bad place to be at all though, in retrospect.

I'm nothing if not a lover of romantic poetry and this is one of the best I've read.

Your poetry is just so rich to the point of being fluid, the soft gentle movement is uncanny....like the deep velvet twilight.  That thought just wraps around me and keeps me warm.
