I saw you in my past one day,
Sitting by the poolside café.
Your attraction was poise and grace,
Mona Lisa smile on your face.

Sophistication was your charm,
Me? I was from down on the farm.
Mona Lisa smile on your face,
You were high-toned intricate lace.

Our eyes met, my heart I misplaced,
Mona Lisa smile on your face.
You looked away, you were demure,
I was smitten by your allure.

Mona Lisa smile on your face,
I felt I was in outer space.
Found the grit to speak to you,
Felt like the winner of a coup.

Delightful, dear Jerry! Very beautifully rendered "coup de foudre"!

Yes to "coup de foudre," although I needed to look it up. I like the expression and I'm sure it will end up n the next novel I write. Thanks, Margherita.

It was an inevitable thing. I looked. I saw. I continued looking. Thanks, Prasad.

I think this is grand. Switch the genders and it reminds me of a man I once saw who had Paul Newman eyes. I married him.

Now those eyes were something to see. I'm talking about Paul Newman. I'm a man and I was even struck by those blue eyes. SOB had everything else to go along with those eyes too. Liked Newman.

Thanks for stopping by, Marcia.
