Blonde, she was, rock hard beneath office wear
When she got that fool to hurt me,
Me being unaware.

She'd be pushing fifty now. Foolish
To ask if her eyes still glare,
Hostile, controlling---ghoulish!

It starts when you must contend
With everybody, including you.
Where does it end? Perhaps with a curtsy?

The pain is lifelong. Memory be true.
Mind be strong, emotionally so blue.
Hopefully, her puppet days are through.

She may have softened in the meantime!

Very well rendered memory!

Love,
