Dance tough, I am told:
Art is a living prayer,
Release to be won.
Every day I think that
Someday I will dance again.

Thank you, Lori, for your kind words.

In retrospect, I can see that this poem does not emphasize nearly enough that art as sincere expression of hopes and ideals, not as "artful" wiles or tricks, really is a form of prayer.
