The In,  Between ( a song )

In mighty time, a trusted smile, a reliant ally
Sometimes when a nip of nap is just enough
Forgive my speculations if my thoughts dally
stuck between time, where smooth is rough.

CHORUS
I had no choice – I had no right
You told me so, gyroscope eyes!
Held you all throughout the night
In between ecstasy and silver sighs.

Knowing what I know now
What did the angels tell me?
...that love is a solemn vow
and that rest was just candy?

So night shapes shadows, to fill your dreams
and while sacred blankets watch your smile
oceans are jello: clouds made of ice cream
A perfect day, perfect night, none can defile.

CHORUS:
I had no choice – I had no right
You told me with crimson eyes.
Held you all throughout the night
inbetween musing and silvertipped highs.

We are always stuck
within our dreams
into the in
and in, between
half free.

Oh, those angel eyes...
turning vixen like that...

would love to hear the notes
behind this one!

How lovely those "silver sighs" and "silvertipped highs"!

A very dreamy song, created with great skill, dear Jeff.

Love,
M
