Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

Uncensored words flush lover’s cheeks
Passionate secrets driven deep
Their fingers slide on salty skin
Pulsation where each touch has been

Sweet cloying scent permeates the room
Evokes memories from womb to tomb
Crescendo ends the dance they started
And keening cries of all departed

A wish, a trance, a sated mist
Enfolds a heated lover’s kiss
Until rising clouds of virgin white
Steal blinders that held hostage sight

Together they meld into one
With borrowed heat loaned from the sun
Then, like Icarus, they churn and bend
In golden glow slowly descend

Into an ocean washed in blue
Remaining one where once were two

Blending the physically, erotic act sometimes with the tomb, meaning death is interesting and I like it.

The melding into one is metaphorically structured, in my thoughts, as male/female=one.

Then again, Icarus appears, so it just may be a poem about the Greek tragedy and they crash and burn.

Fine reading anyway.

Isn't this just a most fitting poem for a Saturday night! There has been melting of snow in the surrounding mountains I am sure, dear Alison.

Conscious passion I would call this. Most beautifully rendered.

Love,
Margherita

Jerry,

Weave it all together and you have your answer.  Thank you so much for reading.

Margheita,

Did you hear that scientists have determined that global warming was actually started by poetry.  It's true.  Yep.

Thank you, my dear friend.

Love,
Alison

Jaime,

Don't think too much - just enjoy.  That, and the Hokey-Poekey, are really what life is all about.
