Fate and Free Will

a common debate
some may
and
some will

the question of
mate

They coexist,
they can
and will

yes, there is fate
someone or some-ones, in life
we are supposed to encounter

destiny
but the destiny is still ours
to choose
for the moment

until it is too late
if one waits
a-midst their indecision
that is a decision in itself

this is common knowledge.

inaction is an action
in and of itself

so yes, you may say
we may say
each of us may say

as we look across the table
into each other's eyes

it was meant to be

the question remains

the future
it is what we make of it

make it or break it

So, when you come in contact with that person
one that, in there is no doubt
it was meant to be

it is still a choice
like a phrase, a line, a word
in poetry.

Ah yes, one of the age old questions. I very much agree with your perspective and in reading your words I find strength.
