CHOICE AND SUBMISSION
11 June 2011

How blessed and wise
are those
who choose
to know and submit to God
for they are blessed
with the indescribable
and unconditional
love and comfort and joy
that He provides
amidst the tears and woes
of this world.

It is well
with their souls.
May they delight
in spreading the wonder
throughout the world.

Delightful Owl.
You know, of course, that the owl was considered the image of God in the Middle Ages.
Because the owl could see deeply into the dark night of our souls.
You can see the owl in paintings of that period.
Lovely Poem!

Thank you, fellow-bird, Duck.  No, I didn't know that.  It is fascinating and I am even more deeply honoured to be an owl.  Wisdom and perspicacity are joys I aspire to.  I like to believe that I am reasonably good at reading at least some souls - the sunny days as well as the dark nights.  I will look, with interest, for the owl in Medieval paintings.
