I remember those giumarra eyes
like they were soot color velvet
and how she did her hair too
I said it was like night falling down
over the olive of her lovely bronze

and she would smile over her shoulder
watching me watch her charms
as she demonstrated her things to come
and let the devil shirt lose buttons
before she put it over my mind

with her following close behind
leaving her rings on my bar sometimes
so I had to visit her in the afternoon
when he was still at the parlors
with his coin counting countesses

now she speaks of the springfield
and how I did lights for their songs
and made her make herself available
although she knew of the dangers
but they seemed so temporary afterward

once she became addicted to our pain

"although she knew of the dangers

Yes. Isn't that how it is? Tasting the forbidden never was so good when the chance of being found out was there. I truly believe women who play this dangerous game get more out of it than do us guys. It's an inner quality they have and we can't quite climb. Oh, we are delighted with tasting the sweet wine, but women, in my opinion, taste it on entirely another level. Enjoyed this.

lol...thanks JP...I was just the bartender that took her home and dropped her off a few times after she got too far into the rock groups, like the springfield, chicago, the doors and a few others..never touched the product and promised her I would always say that..

once upon a time in a far off land...I tended bar and did light shows for rock bands...some of them mentioned above....a mysterious lovely who was part of a wine family worth millions..would leave things at the bar...I would take them over to the ranch on occasional afternoons so her father/husband/brothers didn't realize her addicton to the lifestyle...true story number 468...

It's so strange, but there can indeed be that kind of addiction.

She left things ... the notice of charms must have been reciprocal, so she got distracted.

Another amazing read!
