Bliss

He places his hands on her shoulders
She turns, wraps her arms around his neck
Hands at her waist, he pulls her close

The meat loaf resembled a black brick
Potatoes looked about the same
Salad warm and limp

Peanut butter never tasted as good
As it did eaten cuddled up
In love’s lingering afterglow

Glad it brought back good memories for you Jerry. That's what it is for me now too, memories of many burnt dinners, and breakfasts, and . . . . . . .

Those are the ways of love and passion, dear Marcia, yes!

Very nicely rendered sweet memories.

Love,
