I gauge a poem's qaulity by if it touches me.  You tapped into a bit of guilt I am feeling at the moment.  I better call my cousin tomorrow.  I think we tend to put off things that cause regret because it is hard to face the feelings that we know will come with tough times.  It's time for me to face the feelings and reach out.

Thank you for the sticky note.

Love

Ah, I was thinking tonight before I read this of a brother who, for the last few years have been . . . distance. I need to find his phone number. I know it has been changed. Thanks for this tonight, you touched a few people, and I'm sure will touch more before this gets read out.

I'm glad this came back up! *S* I think we're all guilty of putting off that call... and then living with the regrets when we realize the opportunity is gone. Beautiful work!!

Wow... this is beautiful, and poignant.  A stark, vivid reminder that it all starts with us, and expending the effort to not just wile away, silently.

Great write, and even moreso with the images.

Jimmy,

I never came back to this poem to tell you the rest of my story.  I did call my cousin after reading this poem.  He died two months later.

Thank you, my friend.

Need that sticky note that says, "Just do it!" Nicely done.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Enjoyed the poem, but it's strange when I start using sticky notes it means chaos and I need to take a step back and reflect.

A poet must leave traces of his passing not proof.
