A view at low tide from the point of Provincetown

Here more starlight fills the heavens
For the skies are wide and deep
More enchanting is the silver moon
When tides are put to sleep

Much more wondrous are horizons
That stretch out to meet with God
Where whales still skim the waters
Off the shore of old Cape Cod

There’s no greater view of heaven
That a man could hope to find
Than a place where poets come to dream `
And leave their heart behind

Rarely, but every once in awhile, a poem leaves you breathless. This is one of them.
