.

Oh I knew
You weren’t
All that
Intellectual

In your God is dog
Spelled backward
Kind of way
You approached the world
Its various mysteries
With less than thoughtfulness
On your side

Though perhaps not noble
In your mindless savagery
Brought up to believe
However small the possibility
I hoped in love there just might be
A little more than glitter there

A glint to spark the light
Among your moon and stars
Beyond the power of pyramids
To sharpen a razor’s edge

Alas and drat. Love's glitter found lying beside the road less traveled than some. The razor's edge has been dulled throughout the centuries of non-use.

Okay. Got me motivated. Enjoyed your poem.
