I could have loved her even in wicker wings
with the leather straps holding them down
crossing her bosom playground in brown

leaving those lines when she was wingless
and so proud of how her pedestal was designed

but I was more loveless then, including ruth
there were only those mortal cravings
that left me hard hearted within my skin

an embossed intrusion more than the illusion
that she would rub against with repetition
we made our vowing at the drive through store

where liquor was the witness to our weddings
and back rooms with experience were the grooms

and maids of dishonorable, intentionally
perfected within the undulations of our sand
so now I am as the paper skin of eucalyptus trees

and she is the stone that marks willow lane
guiding those of other dreams to righter wings

instead of being too far left, and left behind

I'm not feeling the political aspect of it all, but you do a nice twist anyway.
I guess there is so much more that comes to mind and I like where I'm going with it.
Back rooms are not all that shabby.

You are such a cool dude, dude~

I searched for political also. Didn't see it. DARK, you camouflage too well.

There might be some strategy also in relationships of love, just as there is in politics.

This is masterfully written and extremely appealing also because of its introspective depth.

You are always a challenge, so rich in imagery and hints that reading you is always an exciting adventure.

Love,
Margherita

You write in puzzles and there are times taht I strive to understand the meaning ~ and feel like I am missing the message inside a larger message.  You are a code talker, Poetry man.  I understand part of this, and other parts take me down rabbit holes into my imagination.  Than, I think that I don't have to understand - I just have to open my mind and enjoy the fall.

Thank,
Ali-san
