you had your hands on your shirt there
where my eyes wanted to be fingers
and it took some time to read you
slowly and out loud, without saying

there were lovely places hidden too
and when you turned around slowly
swaying in some sensual sighing
just far enough to remain almost distant

I will remember those curves of you
more than some highways I have chosen
and when you leaned into my leather
just to be friendly against my buttons

I wanted to leave then before I couldn't

Now that's some declaration! A gift that remains even if you left.

Impressive use of words.

Yes, a travelin' man. Your poetry language loves to double back, especially since you have a flair for letting your fingers do the walking. (talking?)

These are the moments that pass through everymans life..then dissapear into our inner beings..they are stored, and sometimes rise to the surface...in times like when you sat down to write this poem, and in times when I sat down to read it.

You know, you offer us something really special with your poetry.  We get to get a glimpse of what you see with your eyes and your imagination.  I think this makes you pretty darn special.  Well, take the think out of that sentence and put in know and I'll be right on!

Thank you, DABCQ.

I've leaned into a memory or two and found the smile I felt, still alive and well.  I may not always reply, but I do always enjoy reading you.
