Fair to middlin' of nowhere

…to each his own said she
feeling inclusionary
But due to a discrepancy
of perspective
sounded derisive

Second thoughts
came under review
of the aughts and nots
leaving doubts as to
if she was good enough
for the likes of you

Not getting involved with trying to answer this. Just say I liked it and leave it at that.

Just as well Jerry...I couldn't explain it anyway... but I like it too.

We are always more than good enough, dear Lori, we are the Queens and if we can't be the Queens, we abandon the King!

Very well expressed. The funny thing is you reminded me of an Italian proverb: "Moglie e buoi dei paesi tuoi ..." (Wife and cattle from your own village ...). This expresses the diffidence towards all that is foreign or different. Now things have changed, we are aware of the fact that differences can be very enriching.

Loved your write.

Margherita

This is one of those "glad I stopped in poems" - I like it too and I love Margherita's response to it.
