Roses speak to me

*

Come close to my skin
inhale my fragrance then faint
remember in dreams

*

Get lost in my fire
admire my beauty and sigh
passion burns your core

*

My petals of silk
open wide to your keen eyes’
ethereal touch

*

Whispers in the breeze
share secrets of my heart tune
sing my song’s refrain

*

Sip at my colours
pour them onto your canvas
let me be your muse

*

Roses always catch my eye..although I only plant the David Austin, and Knockout types..

The Hauki also caught my eye, as pretty and soft as rose petals...love them.

reminds me of this

"Juliet:
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."

I paraphrase:
Whats in a poem, as this..that which we call a poem..by any other name, would read as sweet.

enjoyed

Hard to follow Ice, so I shan't (love that word) try. Just say I enjoyed your photos and haiku.

Love your way with Haikus, Margherita. What beautiful roses. I just bought some white (Iceberg) roses for my front yard.

Dear Ford, thank you from my heart for your very special comment. I went to see the David Austin roses on Google and I think the rose in the second picture of mine is a David Austin (almost all of the roses in the Park are of this quality ... they are almost as rich as peonies). Simply gorgeous ... Can't get enough of them. Oh, and the Knockout roses are most beautiful too ... I think the yellow ones I photographed are of this kind. I will share a picture here.

Dear Jerry, thank you so much for enjoying this offering. I like "shan't" too and I  highly appreciate it when I find Poets like you who keep the language in due consideration and use it correctly and with mastery.

Dear Ida, oh the iceberg white queens are breathtakingly beautiful. Nice that you will have them in your frontyard. Thank you from my heart for your loving comment.

Thank you so much, dear Lori, for letting the roses and the words touch you. It makes me happy when you visit.

Dear James, it's so nice that you, who live amongst a super luscious nature, appreciate also these little offerings. Thank you!

Dear Lori, thank you for such a loving comment. Yes, tea in midst of roses would be a delight.

Love,
Margherita

Beautiful roses
Their frarance sweetens the dusk
Entices the eye

Thank you for sharing the beauty of the roses.  I can smell them as I look upon the pictures and enjoy your haiku.

Alison

Dear Maureen, may your garden bring deep joy to your heart. In this moment I have just one single rose on my balcony which is in full bloom, but she is so beautiful and I am grateful. Thank you for your kind reply.

Dear Yann, I could spend hours photographing roses and other flowers, without ever getting bored, they are so fascinating. Thank you for enjoying this.

Love,
Margherita
