ONLY FAIR
13 May 2011

“It’s only fair,”
she nodded sadly
at the icy moon
staring blankly back at her
through her nightgown forest trees,
black lace
against an early evening smile.

The moon knows and shares its knowing. And you think it's only fair because you know too. The reason for sadness can still be modified into a reason for joy.

Exceptional write, dear Diana.

Really like this. When your Alpha's and Omega's are all lined up in the correct position you put out these short, but tantalizingly words that after reading I have to sit back and take a deep breath. This is one of those poems.

P.S.: Be careful of dark strangers . . . Heehee

Margherita, in this poem, the moon didn’t really care, and the reason it was only fair was that it was all my fault.  And yes, the sadness can be turned into joy.  Smiles.

Thank you for your kind words about my poetry, Jerry.  I am glad that such poems have that effect on you.  And giggles about the warning about dark strangers.  Smiles.

Thank you for reading, enjoying and commenting, Bruce.
