I could write for eons,
I could write to the end of time and beyond

I could write past the dawn and the moon
past my leaves, rosebuds, and blooms

and I would never have the answers to the questions
I seek

I could bend the word
speak every language, thats ever been heard

and never be able to express how I feel
if you never saw my face,
how would you know what is real

Authors, a common man, a common woman
common people, extraordinarily true then

We write to find answers
to seek truth
its a plea for help

to all those that read us
to all those that hear us

lives, how can we share our lives in words
poetry, what is poetry, but life in motion

a captured time, thought, scene,
vision, feeling, a simple dream

it is all,
it is all, these things...

and more.

This takes on the poet and give a good accounting of itself in the process. Poets are not quite in sync with everybody else, otherwise we would not be poets. From the sixteen-year-old love sick high school girl to a grizzled veteran of life who delves deep into the meaning of life, all write from the heart. From the sixteen-year-old's perception, asking why he hasn't called since yesterday is just as important as the oldster's new thought on life, in fact, may be more.

You poem stimulated the old gray cells, martiniat8 . . .

The simplicity of your poetry is intense, and that to me is
fascinating, a truly magical combination of the written words.

Always a pleasure to read you, martini man~

You vividly express what is on the mind and heart of many of us in here.
