.

Everyone’s amazed
At how well I fly
Through this air

I’m surprised as well
Given in truth that
I haven’t been doing it
For a number of years

Keeping safely
Apart and above
With a wave of an arm
I slowly turn and glide
Briefly as necessary
Chatting with strangers
As I pass them by

As if I care

Cubicles
Computer monitors
The office clericals

In a mixture of sadness
And malevolence I explore
The floor below searching
For that as it is I came to see

With my own mute eyes
Who’s left and not
The myth of who’s left

The fact yourself
And not the dream
