I whisper softly
in his ear. I smile
shyly and he understands.
So nervous, i grab the hem
of my dress and drap it over
my knee caps.

My heart is beating faster,
as i look into his eyes,
im intrigued by his
intentions, as his
delicate lips meet mine,
im swept away in all
the splendor.

Is this lust or is this
love?
Or does it matter for
I am blissfully aware
that this afternoon of
splendor is mine and
i delight in my
womanhood.

Splendor in the grass (remember that movie? Probably not) Or Splendor in the afternoon . . . Matters not . . . Matters not about love or lust . . . What really matters is splendor in the afternoon . . .

I really should keep my feelings to myself.

Dear Dreamgal, you evoke a moment of deep emotion here and you do it beautifully. Mutual attraction is quite a wondrous, overwhelming feeling, why analyze it? Yes, what matters here is the splendor of your afternoon. How it will develop is not the question ... Who can think when lips tremble?

Love and joy.

dreamgal - Love and Lust are the two foundational guests in the house of romance. When they knock, Lust rushes in and brings its own breath, its own heat and its own flame of fire. Love rushes in and waits for the detonation. And there we are in a house ablaze where we’d rather stay and burn up than leave with the firemen. I believe you've captured 'Splendor', even when it's in the afternoon. Whoa! Namyh
