Ordinary day;
Pidgeons landing on statues,
Rice bowls in the sink.

Nothing was unusual,
Except buildings falling down

Congratulations on getting the poem published. Quite an irony-laced piece.

Wow! So few words incredibly powerful!
You really got the point across i thought this would be a long one at first but better you kept it short and to the point and not dragged out the heartache. Very good piece. And congrats to you on your publishing this!

Hi Ice, this is the best poem I read about it, so expressive and natural (all is suggested with art)...Congratulations and applause.

Makes one stop to consider the moment and feel for those who experienced it.

It is well worth to be published, dear Ford.

Thanks, everyone--every one of your reviews are wonderful.
This natural event is catastrophic...and will happen again...I fear on our own west coast..Japan will recover, but no so Haiti..I fear more for the haitians..They are still sleeping in tent cities, and have been forgotten..

Ford, Kudos on the publication. On that note, I will send you a link.

See? This is why I thought of Kooser.
