Generally I stay out of "things" like this,
and I sure as heck didn't expect to see it in
the open poetry section of PIP.  Disappoints me
immensely.  Anyway --- my two cents

My tears of forgiveness
are for the lives lost,
the mothers,  fathers, brothers, sisters,
lovers and friends – for all those
who never knew them,
will never know them,
for me,
and you,
and all the souls who came before –
NOT . . .
I repeat – NOT –
for the scum that take lives indiscriminately!

If that means my soul is condemned to Hell,
then take me down . . .
I'll have plenty of company,
and I'll spend eternity mourning those
who couldn't see beyond the end of their nose.

... careful, dear Jimmy and dear Jerry, it's said to be very hot down there!   Good that I don't believe in the existence of hell ... eternal condemnation is the ugliest thing I can think of. Even the worst criminals should be given the opportunity to sincerely repent and live a new life to become better human beings.

None of us spills tears for the death of the one responsible of so many innocents suffering and dying in such atrocious ways!

But how do we feel about the millions of children dying of hunger and humanity's negligence???? I think we are collectively responsible for this inhuman reality.

How can we actually celebrate LIFE and be happy when we know that each year 15 million children die of hunger-related causes??????

So let's be realistic and try to solve this number one problem of the world.

They wait for our awakening to LOVE!

Love and peace.

I'll shed no tears for the scum Bin Laden. May he be on a spit in Hell and roast forever.

I will not join in wild celebrations, either. It was necessary to get him. We got him. Next order of business, please......?

We live in a country where cars are burned, where there are riots in the streets and communities are obliterated for no other reason that their team lost - or even won - a national championship. I don't join in there, either.
