Tanka Louise

Smiles were our steady
Apples sliced by slender hands
Sharing warm baked bread
We prepared us together
Sharing cheesy life stories

Very special Tanka, Sunshine. A rich look back at special times. Nice.

and so were the stories, sissie...

thank you Lori...she was a gas, wasn't she?

Jerry...you would've wanted to have been there...very special moments, indeed!

The warmth of your bond so beautifully rendered here, dear Karilea.

K
A beautiful tribute...she was very lucky to have you as a friend..

This poem says that that bond, that friendship still remains strong..
-that bright "Sunshine" still falls on her shoulders..

Even if she has passed into another realm, of a different kind of light.

BTW...This is very good use of the form..which I am very fond of.

Namaste

A friendship/relationship so special should be shared to give hope to those without. You've done a wonderful job Karielea. There's something about the poem that really grabbed me. All poetry should do that. Umfortunately it's rare that it does.
