Ever Changing Life
By Paul Wilson

From child to young boy
transformation takes place over night
From young boy to adolescent
transformation takes place overnight

Questions no one wants to answer
where do they come from and why
Feelings I can’t explain
where do they come from and why

From young boy to young man
changes take place again
From young man to adult
changes take place again

Priorities different than before
no more running around
Married life we must adjust
no more running around

Dreams of yesterday remembered
touch my heart tenderly
Dreams of a lifetime with you
touch my heart tenderly

Children of our own to raise
questions to be answered
Dreams of tomorrow put on hold
questions to be answered

Chasing rainbows hand and hand
wishing upon a falling star
Bring me back to yesterday
wishing upon a falling star

Hopes and dreams all we’ve got
holding onto each other
We spend our twilight years together
holding onto each other

Dear Paul,

this is an exceptionally poignant write. Beautifully done and with a content that shows both your wisdom and the beauty of your heart.

Enjoyed it greatly.

Marghertia...Thanks for reading and your very sweet reply.
I tried to experiment with this one, by making the 2nd and 4th line of each stanza the same words but they relate to the 1st and 3rd lines in that stanza. Thanks Again...Paul
