It's invariably said, "Rest in Peace"
whenever someone leaves this life.
Nonsense, I say!
To rest in peace is not for me.
I've slept enough in this lifetime.
When I travel on I choose not to repose.
Young and vibrant again
I want to dance with butterflies through
fields of wildflowers,
sit on a crescent moon and watch
the stars fly by,
look at the face of God and
hear Him say to me,
"Well done daughter, welcome home."
I want to be at those gates of pearl
when those who've done evil
approach to enter, and
hear St. Peter say,
"To the likes of you,
these gates are closed."

Love it and I agree, Marcia, There's better things to do than rest. Might be surprising who makes it through those pearly gates though.

Me too, me too. I fully agree with the first part of your very beautiful write, but not with the ending. You see "wildflowers" are somehow associated to "wild hearts" ... we are all "wild" to some degree and we live here in this world of duality, where temptations are abundant. And we all may have some black spots on our petals. So I wouldn't feel like closing the gate for some, everybody should be given the chance to enjoy peace and harmony, so that they might get ready for a further experience on Earth and know the difference and LOVE MORE next time. Condemnation doesn't help anybody.

Your words were thought provoking, dear Marcia.

Love,
Margherita
