It was in Big Bear country
California
Rustic shack
Nice home really
You liked to think you roughed it
I recall an undulating fog
That late afternoon

You giggled and took my hand
Cold that they were
Warmed them inside your blouse
I can still hear your laugh
And shudder
Reacting to my cold hands
I'd just come in from
Getting firewood
You were chopping onions
Threw them into a smoking
Cast-iron skillet

I smothered you with my arms
As you stirred the onions
You backed into me
Turned off the fire
Under the skillet
And as we cuddled
We watched the sun setting
Blood-red on the horizon.

I don't get what is so difficult - then I am not a man (smiles).  The part I liked was the lion part - and of course, the humour.
