How does this character always get into these Romeo and Juliet situations.

He has done everything, but sing at her window.

A modern day international love story.
2 families, supposedly against their relationship

His family's resistance is fading.
Her's?
like the color of the ribbons shading

It's an unknown to him.
Perhaps, perchance, to them.

An Easter weekend and Czech family traditions
Eggs and drinking and chasing women with sticks
to hit them on the rear,
just for fun, just for kicks

traditions of fertility
an act in humility

a transfer of the power of spring
a transfer of the color of green

from the weeping willow
an eager fellow
a solemn pillow

and to sleep with a dream's sight
Sladke Sni, a Dobrou noc
(Sweet dreams, and good night)

Nicely put, and a poem to think about.

To some it will always be "some foreign guy" (like in Elton John's Crocodile Rock); to others, "the poet."

But, oh that power of spring --- what a fine turn of phrase, thank you!
