night be swift,
when sleep's uncertain,
save my shattered soul from hurting,
a tear is shed,
that lifts the curtain,
that hides the truth of loves true burden...

So what's the truth of love's true burden? What's behind the curtain? Tell me! I must know!

Or is it that love is a burden in and of itself? I don't know.. pondering now..

Thanks, by the way, for making me ponder.

Enjoyed.

sometimes love itself is a burden, especially when you love someone who's love for you may only be a manifestation of a fantasy for them, and may never come to fruition..., funny, I didn't realize that this was the anniversary of my first post...

Beautifully composed. You got your point across.

So sad but so very well expressed.

The night can be a very lonely place.
